1) Okay, after...five years, I've finally updated my journal theme from the watermelon theme I chose when I first created this account. XDDDD Also added links to posts of interest, for folks looking for the Taiwan trip to see Arashi, or my smashed thumb tales *waves to 2dong2woon*

2) And I went through my journal and pulled out stuff, (ehehe, the impetus for this was my fivesomeaday fic), and created a fanworks comm for myself. So One Piece (the first and only fandom so far to get me to do fanart) and Arashi (first and only fandom so far to get me to write fanfic) have entries there. loonyfruit! ^___^

3) It is raining. Please let it rain more, droughts are no fun. Though sideways rain is a bit scary. o.o

4) DBSK on SMAP X SMAP is seriously hilarious. Also it's crazy how I can understand maybe 80-85% of the dialogue and maybe 90% of what's actually happening. Rather excited about Music Station with Arashi and DBSK on at the same time. Come on, fandom!

Heee. It was about time for a change, I'd noticed that other people's journals had useful sidebars and I wanted them. :P

I am alive. Business is slow, but surviving I guess. I just spent allll day cleaning. Laundry, cleaned room, and cleaned out fish tank (my brother and I have a deal where he changes out the water every week, but once every three I help him out and scrub the tank of all its algae. It was purple this time. >.> )

So if you're not grading, are you working on that Foucauldian essay you were thinking about? :D :D :D How are you doing?

It's been crazy busy here, so I haven't even started the Foucauldian thing . . . *fails* If it happens, it is likely to happen maybe next week or the weekend after that, since I'm on spring break next week. Though spring break appears to be a euphemism for "assloads of grading," sadly ^^" I really need to remember not to assign so much work, huh?

But things are generally going well, just busy. I am so looking forward to the next week, even if I do spend it surrounded by piles of paper. At least I can sleep in, right? \o/

Yeah. I like that sidebars have things like links to places. And tags. And so forth, and my theme was so old it was just colors and no functionality. :P

Er. Well. Honestly, I have no idea. But the scum that I scrub off the aerator thingy and the sides of that tank is usually green. So who knows? >.>

No fail, not at all! I was just curious, because it's exactly the sort of thing that's up my alley. :P I'm personally tempted to do a sociolinguistic study, just because all the different ways fans refer to the boys, the different uses of language mixing and all is very interesting to me. And I think this is the first really international fandom I've been involved in, considering that in previous fandoms, English fandom meant USA fans mainly, but in this one English is lingua franca and so lots of people from all over are using it to fan together. Um. Wow, that went long. /geek

Good luck with the grading! Break it up with drama breaks with Boy, right? And, um, at least if you have lots of work due before the break, do you not have them also doing a ton of work during, so that you'd have to grade lots afterwards too? :D?

Sidebars and links do sound like a good idea . . . now I'm thinking about adding links . . . I kind of like my layout, but sometimes get a little tired of it . . . so perhaps I will think about a change soon . . .

We are so the same kind of geek ^^" I would find this fascinating ^_^ It's possible I will do the Foucauldian thing, though it probably won't be that ambitious--more of an explanation of Panopticism and how I see fandom adopting those techniques for policing, but how it's really messy because the categories are so flexible and haven't been decided by either communities or by those 'in power.' Moderators? BNFs? But if I don't run to campus now, I won't be able to binge grade to give myself some time over the 'break.' :P
