So I'm going to date myself and my American childhood right now, and cast this question onto the vastness of the internet:

How many of you out there have watched and remember two shows, Today's Special and Square One TV?

I found myself thinking about them recently. Today's Special was an awesome PBS show about a department store where, after hours, one of the mannequins comes to life. Jody, a store clerk, would put a hat on Jeff (the mannequin) and say a spell a wizard told her, and Jeff would come to life. There was also a muppety security guard named Sam and Muffy the mouse. They'd tell each other stories and there'd be random fantastic journeys and dorky music and old school animation and I loved it.

Square One TV rocked my socks, because it was cool math and animation and really really dorky math game shows with people playing crazy characters, and animated pac-man like adventures about a creature called Mathman who was only supposed to eat certain numbers and operations. Also they had Mathnet, omg Mathnet. With George and alternately Pat Monday or Tuesday, who would solve crimes with math. Heeee!
